Shape, texture and glaze firing

Tip for shaping and surface design:

  • The objective is to copy the neighboring tooth as well as possible. To do this, mark the shoulders, incisal edges and surface characteristics on the restorations and on your model. Use a pen with a superpolymer tip which completely burns out leaving no residue or contaminants. (Order No. VITA +JO17B1970).

Only grind with fine diamond tools or diamond polishing rubbers and low abrasive pressure.

Tip for glaze firing:

  • Always mix the glaze and stains a few hours before use in order to achieve an optimal consistency of the materials.
  • Apply the glaze material to the entire surface so that it is thin but completely covered. The stains can then be easily applied to the surface moistened with glaze.
