A conical tooth, also called Dens emboliformis, is especially undesirable in the anterior tooth region. The patient would like a correction to close the row of teeth.
In this patient, regions 12 and 22 were affected. The plan involved using VITA SUPRINITY non-prep veneers to provide both peg-shaped teeth with the shape of natural lateral incisors.
Both veneers were designed with the inLab software using the biogeneric function. The models suggested by the software were modified and individualized by hand.
The restorations after grinding with the inLab MC XL made of VITA SUPRINITY. The exact edge design of the very thin veneer can be seen clearly here.
VITA SUPRINITY demonstrates excellent edge stability in comparison with lithium disilicate ceramic following processing using the inLab MC XL system. The fit can be thoroughly checked thanks to the translucency on the model.
After reduction and crystallization, individualization takes place with VITA VM 11.
In this way, the restoration was adapted to fit the adjacent teeth with little effort.
Finally, glazing was carried out using VITA AKZENT Plus Glaze.
Our patient, who had high expectations, is delighted with the result: the row of teeth has been esthetically closed. No evidence of the anomaly remains. The veneers are in perfect harmony with the other teeth.
