Halit Yağcı – short biography
- Born on January 1, 1973 in Rize, Camlihemsin.
- Halit Yağcı has been working in the dental profession for over 30 years, dating back to the presentation of his dental technician apprenticeship diploma from the Ministry of Health.
- Until 2000: Head of ceramics department.
- Following this, Halit established his own laboratory: PortekDENT.
- Specialization in highly esthetic restorations due to high demand.
- From 2004 to 2007: Participation in many different VITA courses.
- 2007: Authorization as VITA trainer.
- Lectures and courses worldwide.
- Digitalization of the laboratory with introduction of the Sirona inLab CAD/CAM systems (MC XL, MC X5).
- 2011: Expansion of the CAD/CAM equipment with a 3Shape scanner unit, together with a Hyperdent CAM system.
- Since 2015: CAD/CAM trainer for Sirona.
- 2015: Opening of the new laboratory in Bursa.

Patient cases
Case 1: Anterior crown
Crown on tooth 11. Material: VITABLOCS Mark II. Individualized with VITA INTERNO and VITA VM 9 after a slight cut back.
Both dentist and patient were very happy with this result.
Case 2: Lumineers
For this patient, veneers were produced from tooth 14 to tooth 24 in the upper jaw. Tooth 15 and tooth 25 received a crown each. All of the lumineers and crowns were produced from VITABLOCS Mark II and painted and glazed with VITA AKZENT Plus.
Case 3: Anterior tooth veneers
This unusual case of strong discoloration of the natural teeth, was treated completely digitally.
After grinding the crowns in the CAD/CAM process, they were characterized with VITA AKZENT Plus.
Material used: VITABLOCS TriLuxe forte.
Case 4: Individual anterior tooth veneer
Only after preparation did the difficulty of this single anterior tooth become clear. The natural tooth had clear shade differences to its neighboring teeth. After checking the spatial conditions using a silicone matrix and the individual shade-taking procedure in the laboratory, we decided on a veneer made of VITABLOCS Mark II. After manufacturing the veneer in the CAD/CAM procedure, it was characterized internally with VITA AKZENT Plus and layered with VITA VM 9 ENL.
Case 5: Veneers on a conical tooth
Two veneers on a conical tooth. Both of the lateral incisors had been bothering the young patient for a long time. After he heard that they could be restored without preparation using minimally invasive veneers, the patient agreed to the treatment. It is great to see the absolutely identical brightness levels and the good integration in the remaining teeth.
Case 6: Implant treatment
After sealing the screw channel, the abutment was scanned with the inEos five times and constructed in the InLab software. Grinding was done with the VITABLOCS Mark II block material. Individualized with VITA VM 9 and accentuated with VITA AKZENT Plus.
